I fished the Rubicon River through the day and then the Goulburn River for the evening rise.
The Rubicon was difficult but with some good rewards, five fish through the day weighing from one to four pounds.
The wind was hitting the Goulburn hard when I arrived so I didn't expect too much. I found a corner I've fished before and waited only to see an occasional oncer. The wind was blowing straight down the length of the river so I decided to move around the corner. Here I found dimples everywhere. They were only small fish, but fun. I landed a couple before moving back to my previous spot with the hope of finding bigger fish. Luckily enough there were a few there around the pound mark.
