Monday afternoon 1pm-6pm 31/1/2011 i fished the upper Goulburn above Kevington & the water clarity was ok not clear. Not much surface action & no terrestrials but managed 11 fish from 220mm to 380mm & worked the water hard to find them. They sat in the medium turbid water of the gutter runs to the bubble lines not the faster pressure wave type runs. No nymphing was tried only dry flies like Royal wolf, Elk hair cadis & Foam blue blowfly with mostly browns & some rainbows caught. With lots of strikes from smaller fish not quite on their target it was a great afternoons fishing & i think nymphing would produce more fish because of the depth they are in but dry fly is the way to see the action unfold before you & you can't beat that.
